The second largest island in Asuka, it comprises the largest and most northern state. The two islands are connected by the Hamada ferry station. The largest city on Kita and its capital is Arita, a natural staging base to command the wild and freezing north island.

Kita is known for long cold winters, a unique religious and shamanistic culture that permeates daily life and the famed “northern lights”, eerie atmospheric lights known as Oro-Hikari.
